ACCOMPLISHMENTS
David Slipher is proud to have worked for nearly a decade in higher education roles in academics and alumni relations. Before joining the Wilder School, Slipher was director of marketing and communications for the UC Davis College of Biological Sciences. Prior to this, he served as the manager of communications for the Northern Arizona University Office of Alumni Relations. He has also worked in the private sector in renewable energy and sustainability education.
In 2020, Slipher was recognized for his website development with a Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) District VII BRONZE Award for Institutional Websites. In 2018, he received the Photography Gold Award - Picture Story from the Association for Communication Excellence.
Slipher earned a master's of science in global management from Thunderbird School of Global Management in Phoenix, Arizona. He received a bachelor's of science in political science from Northern Arizona University, located in the mountains of Flagstaff, Arizona. He enjoys traveling, exploring the outdoors and spending time with his loyal and energetic dog, Aurora.
