2021-2022 Wilder School Scholarships- Feb.12th Extension

Below are the minimum scholarship application requirements (Additional requirements may be needed. Please review the list of requirements outlined in each scholarship description):

  • Completed Online Application (http://vcu.academicworks.com/
  • Unofficial Transcript  
  • Resume/CV  
  • One 500-word essay per scholarship describing why you deserve that specific scholarship 
  • One reference letter from VCU teaching faculty uploaded to your academicworks application or emailed directly to wsscholarship@vcu.edu (the student's name must be in the subject line)
  • Additional requirements may vary per scholarship

All application materials are due February 12, 2021. Incomplete applications will not be given consideration. No exceptions will be made. 

2021-2022 Wilder Graduate Scholars Fellowship -Deadline March 15

The Wilder School Office of Student Success is now accepting applications for the Wilder Graduate Scholars Fellowship program!

This fellowship provides top full-time students in each of our master’s programs with professional work experience, in-state tuition, and a $14,500 stipend through a host employer. Fellowship placements are for one academic year that begins in August and ends in May. Fellows are expected to work 20 hours a week.

Hanover Public Works Intern- PAID

*if you also are majoring/minoring in Environmental Studies/Sciences this may be an internship of interest.

This is an engineering or environmental science intern position to join the Department of Public Works (DPW) conducting field and office activities for the time period of May through end of September 2021.  The incumbent will assist with stormwater outfall inspections, mapping stormwater infrastructure in GIS, and analysis of the County's Chesapeake Bay TMDL obligations. Data collected during plan review and field inspections will be incorporated into databases, spreadsheets and related to the County's stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, drainage, and Chesapeake Bay Preservation Act programs, as well as construction inspection of  DPW projects.  Experience with database records/spreadsheets, principals of stormwater management, hydrology (water resources), and GIS is desired.

2021 AEI Summer Honors Program

Government Affairs Summer Intern 2021 - CosBank

At CoBank, our Government Affairs Intern assists with all aspects of CoBank’s Washington, D.C. government affairs efforts.  This intern will conduct legislative and regulatory analysis for the team on relevant policy issues. In addition, this intern will have the opportunity to attend hearings, briefings, and other Capitol Hill events focused on agriculture, rural development, rural infrastructure, and the financial services industry.  A typical project as a Government Affairs intern may include an in-depth analysis of CoBank’s advocacy efforts to Congressional Districts. CoBank interns learn real-life business skills and assist with a variety of projects that have a direct impact on the bank’s operations.
