The Governor's Office is hosting a live session for undergraduate and graduate students related to careers in state government on Monday, February 22 at 6pm. This online "live" event features the Virginia Management Fellows program (a salaried job) and the Governor's Fellows program (a paid summer internship). Virginia Management Fellows programThe Commonwealth of Virginia’s Management Fellows (VMF) program seeks emerging leaders with the desire to serve the people of the Commonwealth of Virginia, and a willingness to commit to a 2-year fellowship of state-level service and learning. Applicants should demonstrate an interest in public service and volunteerism, and the capacity to work as both a leader and a participant in team efforts. Critical thinking is a sought-after skill.

2021 Governor's Fellows ProgramThe historic and prestigious Virginia Governor’s Fellows Program offers a select group of outstanding and highly motivated individuals the opportunity to experience firsthand the administration of state government in the Commonwealth.

The Program is open to rising seniors, graduating seniors, and students enrolled in graduate school. The Program is a full-time commitment, from June 1 through July 31. Each student will be paid $3,600, via stipends, for their 2 month long service to the Commonwealth.

2021-2022 Wilder Graduate Scholars Fellowship -Deadline March 15The Wilder School Office of Student Success is now accepting applications for the Wilder Graduate Scholars Fellowship program!
This fellowship provides top full-time students in each of our master’s programs with professional work experience, in-state tuition, and a $14,500 stipend through a host employer. Fellowship placements are for one academic year that begins in August and ends in May. Fellows are expected to work 20 hours a week.

Brookings Summer 2021 Partner School Research InternshipsBrookings is currently accepting application materials for their Summer 2021 Partnered School Research Internships. Every year, Brookings reaches out to specific schools to recruit for their summer internship program. The Wilder School is a partner school and they are eager to hire our students! These are paid internships that will be virtual.

Qualification Requirements:
- Applicants must be undergraduates who have completed their sophomore year, recent college graduates, or graduate students.
- Internships pay an hourly rate of $15.00, and applicants must be willing to commit to approximately 40 hours per week, with some flexibility around an academic course schedule. The internship dates are (June 7-August 13, 2021).

NSF Research Opportunity for Undergraduate StudentsThe Department of Criminology & Criminal Justice at Wayne State University was awarded a Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) grant from the National Science Foundation (final approval/funding pending) and we’re writing in hopes that you’ll be willing to help us spread the word to your students. Specifically, we're asking you to share this email with your undergraduates who are currently sophomores or juniors and interested in gaining meaningful research experience with the goal of attending graduate school.
Our REU -- Communities, Crime, & Criminal Justice in Detroit (C3JD) -- will bring together 9 selected undergraduate students to work with faculty of our Department in an intensive, 8-week research program that will run from June 7th through August 2nd. Selected students will conduct research, attend substantive and methodological workshops led by nationally recognized faculty from throughout the country, participate in cultural events, and receive a stipend of $4800 for their participation. Because our REU is virtual, students will also be eligible for funding to purchase technology to support their participation.
