These general information sessions are geared for first- and second-year undergraduates and any students who are new to VCU. A variety of national and international scholarship opportunities will be discussed. Strategies for creating a competitive profile and application will also be covered in these sessions. All first- and second-year Honors students are encouraged to attend one of these sessions

Multiple PAL Opportunities Available

The Richmond Police Athletic League is looking to fill multiple opportunities in the organization. The Richmond Police Athletic League is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that aims to provide comprehensive support to the City of Richmond’s youth through mentorship opportunities, educational support, and sports and recreational activities. It is our hope to provide programs that will bridge the gap between Richmond families, our community, and the Richmond Police Department in an effort to nurture and guide our youth into becoming productive and contributing citizens.

GIS & Project Manager Vacancy - City of Richmond

The City of Richmond is seeking well-qualified candidates to apply for the GIS and Project Manager position with the Department of Emergency Communications (DEC). This position will work in the Technology Division which supports public safety infrastructures by coordinating all emergency radio, computer-aided dispatch (CAD) and telephone communications for Public Safety Agencies of the City of Richmond.

2020 Census Opportunities

Are you interested in being a Census Taker for the 2020 Census? The Richmond Area Census Office is now accepting applications! If you reside in Richmond the paying rate is $24 per hour, openings are available throughout Virginia and the United States. Hours are flexible and can be done part-time along with studies and other jobs. Students are encouraged to apply, whether you are still residing near campus or have returned home to another location. Rates vary depending on their place of residence.

Receptionist Vacancy

Do you have experience serving as a receptionist (answering phones, greeting clients, and assisting with document preparation) and would like to gain real-life experiences in the field of law? A Criminal Defense Practice in the Richmond area is looking to hire a Receptionist. The successful candidate should have prior experience and willing to learn. This position would take place Monday - Friday beginning at 1:30 until 5:30. Friday would be 12 until 4.

Associate Planner (City of Portland) - Limited Duration

The Bureau of Planning & Sustainability (BPS) is seeking two Associate Planners.  The City of Portland is in the process of correcting its Environmental Overlay Maps citywide to comply with the newly adopted Comprehensive Plan and is also in the process of updating its floodplain related regulations.

These are Limited Term positions.  Persons appointed to limited term positions will be designated as limited duration employees whose appointment shall not exceed two (2) years except for the extension of grants or funding from outside sources.
