VDOC - Undergraduate Internship Summer/Fall 2020

The Virginia Department of Corrections - Corrections Operations Unit is now accepting applications from undergraduate Wilder School students for an unpaid (academic credit offered) Summer/Fall 2020 Internship. This is a project-based internship to analyze and present employee input to an executive audience within the agency.

This internship opportunity is open for both the Spring 2020 and Summer 2020 semesters. The application period will remain open until slots are filled for both semesters.

Hopewell Main Street Director Position Available

The Hopewell Downtown Partnership seeks a dynamic, experienced Executive Director to lead its downtown revitalization effort in close conjunction with its board of directors.

The Executive Director is responsible for:

  • Directing the Four-Point-based revitalization efforts in Design, Promotion, Economic Positioning, and Organization
  • Working in conjunction with volunteers to plan and implement revitalization projects
  • Publicizing the work and accomplishments Main Street organization
  • Providing support and direction to the Main Street board
  • Coordinating the operation of the Main Street corporation and office

This position is a salaried position.  Salary range $45,000 – $55,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Additional funding available for health insurance.
