FWS Research Assistant - Emergency Management and Vulnerable Populations during

To assist in research endeavors regarding a project on Emergency Management and Vulnerable Populations during a Pandemic: Implications from the Novel Coronavirus Response in the United States.
The specific duties include literature search and analysis followed by data analysis (specifically qualitative coding).
Preferred qualifications:
Previous experience conducting research during initial phases of a project and qualitative coding. Other specific requests include being detail-oriented, timely in communication, ability to work with other student researchers, and writing abilities.  
Remote Options:
This is a remote position.
Hours: A reasonable weekly schedule will be determined between the supervisor and mentor, not to exceed 20 hours per week, Monday-Friday during normal working hours.

Henrico County Emergency Management Specialist Intern II

Emergency Management Specialist Intern II - undergraduate level student for the fall 2020 semester. Interested students must be eligible to earn academic credit for their program as a requirement or elective.

Desired GPA: 3.0
Desired Student: Undergraduate level
Work Hours: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, flexible and open to student's schedule as long as project(s) are completed

The intern will assist with several projects to include:

  • Preparing documents for continued Covid-19 response and local government transition plans.
  • Review and preparation of Continuity of operations plans and continuity of government plans.
  • Support document management processes.
  • Prepare executive summaries and presentations for documents and processes.
  • Support Community outreach efforts.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Intern must be proficient with Microsoft suite products and able to conduct minor research to support EOP and COOP efforts. Examples of previous work are welcome.
