*Reminder* Virtual Student Federal Service application open

The Virtual Student Federal Service (VSFS) is an eight-month remote internship program for U.S. citizen students, college-level and above, who would like to make a real difference in the work of the U.S. government. 

eInternships run from September through May of each year.

The VSFS vacancy announcement is open from July 1 – 31 on the USAJOBS.gov website: https://www.usajobs.gov/GetJob/ViewDetails/570699400. During this time, students may find the listing by searching for “VSFS” or “Virtual Student Federal Service” on USAJOBS. Students may apply to up to three projects.

Pinsker Law Legal Assistant

Pinsker Law, a criminal defense firm, is looking to hire a part-time legal assistant to work 20 to 30 hours per week. Duties will include the following:

-Filling out templates on letters and motions to send to clients and courts for retainer agreements, motions for discovery, notices of appearance, and emailing clients their case outcomes.

-maintaining an up-to-date firm calendar

-Maintaining files, both physical and digital

-Processing payments, sending receipts and updating booking

-calling court clerks and prosecutors to get available dates in setting cases

-Answering the phone when neither lawyer is able to pick up

-Other duties as assigned

Exact schedule to be determined upon hiring, but can expect normal work hours.  Pay will be $12 to $15 an hour depending on experience. You must be detail oriented and read carefully, and to prove this, in addition to emailing to pinskerlaw@gmail.com a resume and references, in the post script of your cover letter, write the word “hamburger.”

Win Without War: Fall 2020 Policy and Advocacy Intern

The Policy and Advocacy Intern will support our work with Congress, researching and advocating on legislation and policies related to our issue sets. Full-time WWW interns will receive a stipend of $1000 per month to help cover some of the expenses incurred during their internship.
