Henrico County Department of Community Revitalization Internship-PAID

The Henrico County Department of Community Revitalization is seeking to hire an intern for spring 2020. The internship will start as early as December 2019, and no later than January 13, 2020 with the option to continue through summer/fall 2020 depending on department need. 

This internship is open to undergraduates and graduate students in the Planning and Public Administration programs.

2020-2021 CHCI Graduate Housing Fellowship

The CHCI fellowship is a paid program that gives Latino leaders the opportunity to work on Capitol Hill, in federal agencies, or at think tanks and advocacy organizations in the DC area. CHCI offers a variety of fellowships, including one for leaders interested in Housing policy.

Foreign Special Service Agents - U.S. Department of State

The U.S. Department of State is currently accepting applications for Foreign Service Special Agent positions.  Diplomatic Security Special Agents are specially trained Foreign Service security professionals; they are also sworn Federal law enforcement officers.  Special Agents who serve overseas as the Regional Security Officer advise ambassadors on all security matters and manage a complex range of security programs designed to protect personnel, facilities, and information. In the United States, Special Agents protect the Secretary of State and visiting foreign dignitaries, investigate passport and visa fraud, and conduct personnel security investigations.

VCU Dept. of Health Behavior & Policy Qualitative Research Assistant

Dr. Maghboeba Mosavel, with the VCU Department of Health Behavior and Policy, is seeking a part-time (hourly), temporary Research Assistant for a qualitative research project focusing on obesity in a low-income community. Under the supervision of the PI, the RA will conduct qualitative data analysis of focus group transcripts. The position is temporary at 30-40 hours total. Only candidates with experience coding qualitative data and using MAXQDA need apply.

Director of Equity and External Relations - YWCA

The YWCA is seeking a committed, resourceful individual who is passionate about designing and implementing an equity strategy to spearhead YWCA Richmond’s advocacy and outreach work. This individual should be able to build strong relationships to influence issues inherent to empowering women and eliminating racism, and specifically issues related to racial equity, gender equity, early childhood education and domestic & sexual violence. They will manage a highly visible advocacy and fundraising effort to elevate women’s and children’s rights for YWCA Richmond.

The Director of Equity and External Relations will be a member of YWCA Richmond’s Leadership Team and will work closely with internal and external leaders to design, implement and evaluate strategic campaigns focused on racial and gender equity. The director will also collaborate with YWCA’s corporate partners to create relationships and programs that benefit both organizations in the areas of fundraising, outreach, education, advocacy and volunteering.
