2021-2022 Wilder School Scholarships application open

Below are the minimum scholarship application requirements (Additional requirements may be needed. Please review the list of requirements outlined in each scholarship description):

  • Completed Online Application (
  • Unofficial Transcript  
  • Resume/CV  
  • One 500-word essay per scholarship describing why you deserve that specific scholarship 
  • One reference letter from VCU teaching faculty uploaded to your academicworks application or emailed directly to (the student's name must be in the subject line)
  • Additional requirements may vary per scholarship 

*All applicants must have at least one completed semester of coursework as a VCU Wilder School student at the time of application submission. Applicants are able to apply for up to 3 Wilder School Scholarships for which they meet the eligibility requirements. Scholarship funds will be awarded in the fall 2021 semester. All recipients must be enrolled as a Wilder School student in fall 2021 at the required enrollment student status for the scholarship they are awarded.

Port of Virginia Summer internships

The Port of Virginia's 8 Week Summer Internship Program runs from June 7, 2020 - July 30, 2020 and is designed to develop, teach and mentor undergraduate and graduate students as they explore career opportunities within the maritime industry. Students will be given the opportunity to apply classroom knowledge to hands on project focused tasks in various departments throughout The Port of Virginia. Spring 2021 Internships: Remote Democratic Attorneys General Association

The Democratic Attorneys General Association provides political and policy support to Democratic State Attorneys General in their mission to protect citizens, promote progress and support civil rights.

We are seeking energetic and hard-working students to join our DAGA internship program. This internship opportunity with DAGA is a one-of-a-kind Washington, D.C. experience that helps students learn more about the American political process. The term will begin in January and go through May (start and end dates are flexible depending on candidate availability). This is a non-employment internship opportunity. Internships are part-time and unpaid, but we can sign off on credit/service hours. Interns are offered flexible work schedules and hours are capped at 20 hours a week. Interns will receive a $250/week stipend to offset living costs. This is a remote internship. Applicants must have access to WiFi.

Environmental Systems Research Institute (Esri) Internship

Each year the Environmental Systems Research Institute (Esri) hires interns to work in our Southern California headquarters and regional offices across the US. We offer full-time, paid internships, and our program is open to third- and fourth-year students as well as those graduating in the spring semester. 

We generally accept applications from September 1 through December 31 each year. Positions are filled as qualified candidates are identified, so apply early.

Fusion Center analyst (Louisville, KY)

The Humana Safety & Security Fusion Center team is looking for an analyst to support its mission of monitoring the safety & security of 72,000 associates and contractors, and hundreds owned, leased or vendor properties around the globe.

The Fusion Center is responsible for responding to any type of event that may affect the enterprise that could include but are not limited to natural disasters such as hurricanes or other inclement weather, civil unrest, active violence situations, and other man-made disasters. We are looking for a candidate who is an independent pro-active thinker that operates well in a fast-paced environment but is also self-motivated during a non-heightened state.
