Planning Manager - Travis County, Austin, TX

This position oversees the Community Development Block Grant, a federal source of funding from the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.  The position is responsible for the planning, implementation, contract compliance, evaluation and general oversight of the grant.  The position interacts with the public, other local governments, service providers and elected officials to create a community centered program that meets the needs of the low to moderate income population outside the City of Austin.  The work includes policy development and the creation of strategies to address affordable housing and improved access to opportunity.   The grant works with County Departments, contractors, consultants and non-profits to complete affordable housing, infrastructure and public services projects as well as related environmental and fair housing work.  The Planning Manager manages and develops short-range and/or long-range functions and activities, including project scoping, planning, management analysis, research, work plans, grant/fund proposals, evaluation, budget, policies and procedures.

Site Analysis Project Manager

Fairfax County Department of Transportation (FCDOT) is looking for candidates to fill the role as a Site Analysis Project Manager (Transportation Planner II) in the Site Analysis section of the department.  The candidate selected for this position will be tasked in reviewing land development and zoning entitlement applications for FCDOT, and also will be tasked in providing technical reviews for transportation impact studies. To be considered for this role, you will need to demonstrate that you graduated from a four year program. This is an entry level to mid level position to which training will be provided for the candidate that is selected.
