Public & Social Services Career & Internship Fair

All VCU students and alumni are invited to connect with government agency representatives, as well as nonprofit, human and social services organizations to explore career and internship opportunities in the public and social services sector. This fair is open to all students interested in public and social service opportunities.

Presidential Management Fellowship Information Session

Today, Oct.2nd at 2:00 pm

The National Scholarship Office (NSO) will offer an information session regarding the Presidential Management Fellowship (PMF). ALL graduate students (and recent graduate alumni) are welcome to attend. The sessions are available online: Students and recent alumni who are interested in learning more about the PMF can register to attend either info session using this link. Graduate students who will complete their degree by August 2020 are eligible to apply. Recent alumni who have completed their graduate degrees since October 2017 are also eligible to apply for the 2020 PMF.

The 2020 PMF application is scheduled to open on Thursday, October 3, and close on Thursday, October 17. Interested students who cannot attend either information session should contact the NSO ( for more information.

Students of ALL majors are welcomed to apply!
The Virginia Capitol Semester Internship program is your chance to gain firsthand experience in the legislative arena while taking classes as a student at VCU. The program is open to qualified undergraduate students from accredited public and private institutions across the country.  Whether you see yourself tackling criminal justice reform, renewable energy or creating educational pathways out of poverty for underrepresented individuals around the commonwealth, the Virginia Capitol Semester Internship program will prepare you with the skills, knowledge and experience to make a difference now and in the future!

Debra Rodman for State Senate is looking for energetic and passionate people who are committed to electing qualified and determined candidates to join our field campaign to help us flip Virginia’s General Assembly from red to blue!

Fellows will be responsible for tasks assigned by their campaign organizer that focuses on community engagement and capacity building. Fellows should be enthusiastic, outgoing, high energy, and flexible in a rapidly changing environment. Fellows will report directly to a Field Organizer.
