
Lunch and Learn - "Understanding Human Trafficking in Virginia: Gaps and Goals"

Join Jennifer Reid, Ph.D., director of evaluation at the Wilder School Survey and Evaluation Research Laboratory, for an overview of Virginia’s human trafficking policies and procedures, along with an introduction to the OVC Minors Trafficking Grant, a partnership with the Virginia Attorney General’s Office. This initiative sheds light on two often overlooked areas: boys and human trafficking and youth and labor trafficking. Reid will also share best practices from SERL's current grant work, highlighting effective strategies for addressing human trafficking.
About the speaker
Jennifer Reid began her career at the Survey and Evaluation Research Laboratory in 1990 while completing her B.A in Art History. Since that time, she has completed an M.S. in Psychology and Ph.D. in Psychology. Reid has held a variety of roles at SERL and brings a rich background in all aspects of survey research, evaluation, and analysis, utilizing both qualitative and quantitative methods. Her research interests lie in examining the health risk behaviors and aspects of relationships within emerging adulthood and adolescent populations.
