The State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV) has awarded $750,000 to the Survey and Evaluation Research Laboratory (SERL) for a one-year research study. The study will describe post-college outcomes for recent baccalaureate and associate degree earners at state-supported institutions of higher education in Virginia.

In collaboration with SCHEV, researchers at SERL will custom-design, execute and report on a large survey of recent graduates. The survey design will cover important topics such as employment, the relationship of employment to college experiences, satisfaction with the college experience, life satisfaction, student debt and civic/community engagement. The survey results will be brought together with other existing data to create a study that provides a rich resource for policy discussions regarding higher education in Virginia.
