Gordon, Senior Associate Dean of Faculty Affairs and Professor at the Wilder School, has conducted qualitative and quantitative research investigating community and institutional corrections that appears in a number of scholarly outlets. Her research interests center on correctional employees’ attitudes toward work environment and culture, correctional program effectiveness, correctional staff workforce perceptions and domestic violence programming. She is currently working on a multi-site project examining perceptions of culture and climate among correctional officers and inmates. Gordon has experience in evaluation research covering both community and institutional corrections with the majority of this work being supported by federal, state or local funding.
