Prior to the Ph.D. program, Brittany spent two years working in the marketing department of the Richmond Ballet. During this time she also served on the marketing committee of Henley Street Theatre. She became their full-time program coordinator in 2013 when they merged with Richmond Shakespeare (now Quill Theatre), where she focused on marketing, development and website/graphic design. She also volunteers for the International Foundation for PsychoSocial Wellness (IFPSW) working primarily on fund development. Research interests include public policy as it relates to nonprofit organizations, international women’s rights, social determinants of health and HIV/AIDS prevention. Brittany holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing, a graduate certificate in nonprofit management and a master’s degree of public administration, all from Virginia Commonwealth University.
