Layla holds two master’s degree of science in Human Resources from United Kingdom and United States, and a bachelor’s in English Language from Saudi Arabia. She obtained a multidisciplinary background in human resources management practices of public and private sectors, both globally and within the United States. During her doctoral work, Layla was engaged in research focusing on human resources management, organizational behavior, and public management and was involved in many scholarly activities, such as publishing articles for scholarly publications, presenting at conferences, and involving in many guest lecturing sessions. Prior shifting to academia, Layla acquired five years of practical experience working in multiple departments in Saudi Aramco.
