Layla Alanzi holds a master’s in industrial relations and human resources from West Virginia University and a master’s in global human resources management from the University of Liverpool. Her thesis at the University of Liverpool focused on measuring the impact of societal culture on the success of the forced-ranking system on multinational corporations in Saudi Arabia. Her first paper to be published this year was titled, “The Impact of the Forced-Ranking System on Male and Female Employees in Saudi Arabia: Does Gender Really Matter?” Prior to her studies, Alanzi worked for Saudi Aramco in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, at several departments, such as engineering, industrial relations and career planning and the major contracts procurement unit.
