Mary holds a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology and a Master’s degree in Environmental Studies from Virginia Commonwealth University where she focused on pollution physiology and contaminants of emerging concern. Mary has since earned a certificate in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) as well as a certificate in Research Administration. She worked for a state agency as a program coordinator on a federally funded project before going into the field of research administration at VCU where she is a Senior Grant and Contract Administrator for the Office of Sponsored Programs. Her research interests are contaminants of emerging concern, environmental justice, and risk communication. Mary also enjoys Olympic lifting in her free time.
