Tim Bland holds a master’s degree in public administration, a graduate certificate in public management and a bachelor’s in psychology and political science from Virginia Commonwealth University. Concurrently, he works as a research assistant the Center for Urban and Regional Analysis (CURA) in the Wilder School of Government and Public Affairs. As a research assistant with the Center for Urban and Regional Analysis, he worked closely under John Accordino and Fabrizio Fasulo on various economic impact reports, including VCU’s Impact on the Region in 2016. Previously, he was a graduate assistant to the associate dean of the Wilder School. Prior to that position, Tim worked as a medical administrator at Virginia South Psychiatric and Family services; a counselor at the YMCA Thunderbird Camp; and was a regional manager for Brilliance Academy providing a tutoring service to children in Title 1 schools of Virginia. Tim serves as the Treasurer of the local chapter of the American Society of Public Administration. His management experience extends to local sports as the first League Manager of RiverCity Sports and Social Club, where he was responsible for more than 200 teams.
