Xi holds a Master of Design in Sustainable Environments from Iowa State University, graduating in August 2015. Before that, Xi earned a bachelor’s degree in city planning and a master’s degree in industrial design from South China University of Technology. She has presented her papers in 7th and 8th International Association for China Planning conferences. One paper, “The Construction of Neighborhood Unit System of Flood Control and Drainage Based on Landscape Infrastructure,” was published by Springer, and another, “The Methods and Approaches Green Infrastructure Promote China’s Urban Transformation —Take Dongguan National Wetland Park for Example,” will be published this year. Xi also has a paper, “commuCity: Social Network System for Non-resident Elderly in Big Cities in China,” published by the Association for Computing Machinery. *
