Dr. Fabrizio Fasulo is the research economist at the Center for Urban and Regional Analysis (CURA@VCU). His work focuses on economic and fiscal impact analysis and economic development strategy formulation. He holds a Ph.D. in economics and institutions from the universities of Messina and Rome, and a Master in Urban and Regional Planning from VCU, where he also received a post-baccalaureate certificate in geographic information systems.
Previously, Fasulo worked as academic researcher at the University of Messina and at the London School of Economics and Political Science, and as a member of private consulting groups and regional development agencies in Europe and the United States. His completed research projects range from commercial revitalization to urban and regional planning, regional economic development and European Union Cohesion Policy evaluation.
