Christina Mancini, Ph.D., associate professor of Criminal Justice, recently coauthored an article, “Mandatory Reporting (MR) in Higher Education/College Students’ Perceptions of Laws Designed to Reduce Campus Sexual Assault,” in Criminal Justice Review. The article evaluates student opinion about mandatory reporting, including approval for the policy, the likelihood of personally reporting under the mandate, perceptions of faculty compliance and expected outcomes of mandatory reporting laws.

Also, Mancini – who studies sexual victimization and campus sexual assault – was recently quoted in wacotrib.com regarding the sexual assault scandal at Baylor University in Texas, saying it’s a teachable moment for schools across the country.
