The Wilder School connects you from day one to make sure you have the resources you need to succeed. Our advising staff offers invaluable academic support, and our Office of Student Success provides career services and internship programs to all students within the L. Douglas Wilder School of Government and Public Affairs.

Our students offer each other a lot, too — at the Wilder School, you’re part of a diverse network of peers you can learn from and build valuable relationships with throughout your career. You’ll connect with undergraduates, graduate students and professionals from across our academic areas.

Office of Student Success Programming

At the Office of Student Success, we provide programming to promote and support your professional development and preparation for careers in government and public affairs.

Government, nonprofit, state and local agencies partner with us to engage with students and share internship and career opportunities.

We provide a range of professional workshops, including resume writing, interviewing strategies, building your professional brand and employer showcase presentations.
