Dear Wilder School Community,

The announcement of new federal regulations restricting international students from pursuing their degrees online this fall while they are in the United States is both ill-timed and exclusionary.

VCU and the Wilder School strongly support our international students and our commitment to global education. In addition to the resources provided via VCU’s Global Education Office, the Wilder School’s offices of Undergraduate Student Services and Advising (USSA) and Graduate Student Services and Advising (GSSA) are ready to assist as well.  Undergraduate students who need support can call (804) 827-0790 or email wsadvisor@vcu.edu. Graduate students can call (804) 828-6837 or email wsgradvise@vcu.edu

As a leader in social justice research and reform, the L. Douglas Wilder School of Government and Public Affairs is a global pioneer in equipping the next generation of public servants to promote effective and equitable public services.

We are committed to ensuring that all of the Wilder School’s students, regardless of the current societal health, racial, and immigration challenges, can thrive and succeed at VCU.

Sincerely,

Susan T. Gooden, Ph.D.

Dean, Wilder School
