Minority Political Leadership Institute Seeking Participants

The VCU Grace E. Harris Leadership Institute, housed in the Wilder School, is recruiting participants for the 2018 Minority Political Leadership Institute.

MPLI is a collaborative initiative of GEHLI and the Virginia Legislative Black Caucus Foundation. MPLI is an intensive eight-month experience designed to promote leadership development for individuals interested in issues important to minority communities.

The institute offers insights regarding leadership legacy and culture, personal leadership, policy and legislative processes, responsible stewardship, public service, and integrity for future leaders. Each program year, participants engage and interact with communities across Virginia and learn about unique strengths and issues facing different regions of the state.

Participation in MPLI is open to anyone interested in leadership issues important to minority communities regardless of race/ethnicity or partisanship. This year’s program runs from April through November, and locations include Richmond, Farmville, Lynchburg, Norfolk and Washington, D.C.  Find out more details in these frequently asked questions.
