March 9, 2021

Wilder School alumna Anna Connor is among a list of 13 VCU students and alumni selected to advance to the final round of consideration for a Fulbright U.S. Student grant for the 2021-22 academic year. Connor graduated in 2020 with dual degrees in urban planning from the L. Douglas Wilder School of Government and Public Affairs and in political science from the College of Humanities and Sciences and applied to India for a Study/Research Award in Urban Planning.

Among the most prestigious and widely recognizable fellowships in the world, the Fulbright U.S. Student Program attracted more than 11,000 applications from more than 700 U.S. institutions for approximately 2,200 grants this year. An additional Wilder School student, who applied for an English Teaching Assistant Award in Uzbekistan and wishes to remain anonymous, is also a semifinalist.
