Lunch and Learn - Marijuana, Cannabis, Weed: Is Virginia Ready for Regulation?

What does it take to compete in the recently legalized cannabis industry in Virginia? What are the best ways to effectively navigate policy concerns and regulations across this uncharted landscape?

Preparing Virginia for the business side of marijuana is no small task. Join regulatory experts T.J. Gordon and Greg Felix to learn about the processes, challenges and legal implications for successfully launching a new industry in the commonwealth.

About the presenter: Greg Felix brings nearly 30 years of leadership experience to his role as Vice President, Strategic Solutions at Accela. In this position, he is responsible for providing the Accela Cannabis Civic Application to State and Local government agencies across the U.S. regulating the emerging, legal and often complicated cannabis industry.

About the moderator: TJ Gordon is an Account Relationship Manager in KPMG’s consulting practice with over half a decade of serving State and Local government clients. Throughout his career he has developed a deep understanding of the various operational and policy challenges that state government leaders face in delivering their respective critical services to citizens. Presently serving as the relationship lead for the Commonwealth of Virginia, he is responsible for aligning the experience KPMG has gained through various national cannabis related engagements and applying a Virginia specific lens to understand how these lessons learned can help pave the way to support the journey towards commercial sales legalization.
